Global Footwear Industry Met @ MICAM

Micam fair, one of the most important global events of the footwear industry, was held in Milan between 19-21 September. The fair hosted more than 22 thousand visitors.

Micam, organized by Assocalzaturifici twice a year, in February and September; was held at the Fiera Milano Rho fairground in Milan, Italy. 652 companies from the middle and upper segments participated in the fair, which brought together footwear professionals from all over the world. Top-level manufacturers, international and Italian designers, mid-level and high-end manufacturers and sports shoe manufacturers segments took place in the fairground.

IDMIB has been organizing a national participation organization in Micam since the second term of 2005. This season, while 54 Turkish companies participated in the fair, 36 of them was in the Turkish national participation organization. During the fair, companies held many successful business meetings.

IDMIB aims to increase the awareness and quality perception of the Turkish Footwear industry abroad with various promotional activities within the scope of the organization. In this context, similar to previous years; promotional activities such as billboards and fair/newspaper magazine advertisements were implemented.

In addition, promotional activities were carried out on social media. A catalog containing the details of the companies participating in the national participation organization was printed and distributed to the visitors at the Turkey stand and other areas of the fair.

While an info stand was set up in the area allocated for İTKİB within the scope of the national participation organization in order to provide all kinds of support to the participating companies during the fair, a Turkish brand stand was set up in this season of the fair.
