Istanbul Leather and Leather Products Exporters' Association (IDMIB) continues its activities in order to increase the market diversity of our country in exports, to increase the market share of our country in the sector and to reach the sustainable export target. The United States (USA) is among the target markets within the scope of both the Far Countries Strategy of our Ministry of Commerce and the export targets of our Union. Since the USA is the target country, Turkey's value-added exports are of great importance in the shoe product group, which is the relevant sector of the delegation. In this context, it was decided to organize a trade delegation to New York City, USA on 19-24 March 2023 by IDMIB.
47 American potential buyers companies participated for bilateral business meetings. A total of 248 bilateral business meetings were held, including the visits and meetings of 47 individual buyer companies that participated. Participants from the States of the United States of America: New York, New Jersey, California, Illinois, Wisconsin, Florida, Minnesota participated in our event. Intensive participation was received from the "Sourcing and Production" departments of the leading companies of the industry such as Steve Madden, Betsey Johnson, Rag and Bone, and DNA Footwear.
